Darnley's signs up as 'official gin' of the Ricoh Women's British Open

Darnley’s Gin has signed a deal as the ‘official gin’ of this year’s Ricoh Women’s British Open.

As part of the deal, Darnley’s will be the exclusive gin provider for the Village Bar and Hospitality Tent and will also host an on-site sampling experience for spectators at the championships, which takes place in August in Fife.

The partnership was the first in a line of “exciting news” to be announced by the brand during the next few months, said managing director, William Wemyss. The sponsorship marked a milestone year for Darnley’s, which recently unveiled a new look, new expression and a new distillery, he added.

“The championship and Darnley’s Gin both pride themselves on their rich heritage and the fact that this year’s event will take place in Fife, the home town of the Wemyss family and location of our new distillery, makes the partnership even more of a natural fit,” he said.

To tee off the sponsorship, Darnley’s Gin was gifted to guests at the tournament’s official media day which took place yesterday (18th April).
