Majestic Commercial: Business Development Manager positions – Bristol and South London

Majestic Commercial is looking to recruit two Business Development Managers reporting directly to the Regional Head of Sales covering the Bristol area and South London.

The roles involve working with an on-trade customer base, primarily consisting of food led pubs, restaurants, catering companies, and golf clubs.

The successful applicants will identity and seek out profitable sales opportunities and target new business in the target region which they will need to live in or around. It’s therefore essential that they have extensive knowledge of the target area and an in depth understanding of their region’s on trade developments and trends.

The positions require the delivery of sales in order to achieve gross profit targets; whilst working towards increasing Majestic Commercials profile within the on-trade sector. 

Responsibilities

  • · To win new business and grow the existing account base.
  • · To act as the main point of contact for your customers, and to build strong working relationships with them.
  • · To conduct wine list reviews, staff training courses, and wine tasting evenings for our customers, as required.
  • · To negotiate new listings, implement prices changes, and arrange the reprinting of wine lists as appropriate.
  • · To achieve annual sales and margin targets, and manage yearly budgets.
  • · Work effectively and closely with the various company departments and retail teams.

 

Employee Profile

  • A minimum of 3 years industry ‘on-trade’ experience.
  • Wine experience essential and WSET Diploma preferable.
  • In-depth Knowledge of regional on-trade is essential.
  • Analytical and numerate with attention to detail.
  • Self motivated with a proven track record, the successful applicant will be driven and a great communicator.
  • A passion for our products, our aims and customer service.
  • Strong persuasive skills and the ability to reassure.
  • You will have strong relationship building skills and be highly articulate and proactive.
  • Computer literate, using Word and Excel.
