Arniston Bay launches its new rosé this month, following the success of its Chenin Chardonnay in 1997 and the Ruby Cabernet Merlot in 1998. Created by Anton du Toit, a new generation winemaker, the Arniston Bay Ros is ready to enjoy now. It is described as: easy drinking with complex flavours and a long, well- integrated finish. After a short period on the skins, the Pinotage juice is separated and fermented dry at 20C.
Designed to drink chilled, on their own or with light dishes, Arniston Bay wines have been introduced to the UK by South Africa's wine exporter, Vinfruco. The range has excellent on- shelf impact, with an elongated bottle and modern label. The Arniston Bay Ros is available from Tesco at 4.49.
