Purple Angel is the first Carmenère to be released by Chilean winery Viña Montes.

The name is derived from the Montes logo and the Carmenère colour, and the wine will retail for around £20, sitting between the Alpha range and the flagship wines, M and Folly.

Purple Angel is a blend of 92% Carmenère and 8% Petit Verdot, with the grapes sourced from the Colchagua Valley, and will be available from HwCg.
