Read more about

An East Kilbride whisky has recently been visited by a Polish TV crew.

Burn Stewart Distillers is the subject of a documentary by the main TV channel in Poland, TVN, about young Polish emigrants that live and settle in Scotland.

Adam Sebesta, a Polish worker at Burn Stewart distillery on the bottling line, is the subject of the documentary.

Douglas Smith, Burn Stewart operations manager, said the distillery now had 11 Polish employees.

He added: “Since 2005 we at Burn Stewart have benefited from the migration to Scotland of many skilled and semi-skilled Polish workers. It has been interesting to watch them develop new skills and languages that allow them to make substantial contribution to the success of our business.”
