Catherine Monahan, the former marketing and sales manager at Orbital Wines, has launched her own agency focussing on the off trade sector.
London-based Clink! Wines Ltd will focus on the target market of 28-60-year-old female consumers.
Monahan said: “Our goal is to develop more genuine relationships with our customers, producers and consumers - speaking to real people in real life situations - whether it be in supermarkets, in bars, in the street.
“More meaningful research, leading to more meaningful products, that satisfy unfulfilled needs.”
Clink! Wines will have a primarily off trade bent but will incorporate a “few key focus customers in the on trade”, she added, as well as push to represent a number of significant family-owned wineries.
Prior to Orbital, Monahan worked at Cube Communications, Constellation Europe and Sainsbury's.
