Milard joins Newton Vineyard as winemaker

Read more about

Chris Milard is the new winemaker at Newton Vineyard.

The winery, which is owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), is based on Spring Mountain in St. Helena and specialises in premium wines including unfiltered Chardonnays and Bordeaux-style reds.

Milard's previous position was senior winemaker at Sterling Vineyards.

He will report to Chris Munsell - formerly operations winemaker at Beam Wine Estates - who has taken up the newly-created role of estate director at Domaine Chandon and Newton Vineyard.

Munsell oversees and maintains full responsibility for winemaking, winegrowing and operations for both LVMH-owned properties.

Newton Vineyard is a hillside estate planted to 112 separate blocks across 120 acres.
