Vineo, an independent Internet online trading market for the wine trade, begins its pilot test this month.

Set up by three men, Greg Rice, Paul de Vryer and Mark Lutolf, Vineo intends to become the world's premier wholesale trading market for wine.

Vineo aims to provide a platform for buyers and sellers to communicate and trade, and an exchange for single parcels and overstocks to be traded.

The seller pays Vineo commission on a sliding scale based on volume.
