Cloudy Bay targets “culture loving urbanites”

 Cult New Zealand wine brand Cloudy Bay is extending its presence in the UK with a new wine bar at the Royal Albert Hall.

 

Situated in the second tier of the auditorium, the bar will serve a selection of wines and a complementary menu of seafood ditches from Rhubard Food Design.

 

Recommended matches include potted shrimps, lobster butter cucumber salad, watercress and Melba toast with Cloudy Bay Chardonnay 2008; Gravadlax cucumber salad, sweet mustard and dill dressing with Cloudy Bay Te Koko 2007; and cocktail of prawns and crayfish tails bloody Mary crème fraiche with Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2011.

 

Michelle Aland, head of sponsorship and corporate partnerships at the Royal Albert Hall, said the Cloudy Bay Bar will add "another dimension to our visitor's exceptional show experience". It will be open two hours prior to performances, and very occasionally post-show.

 

Nick Lane, winemaker at Cloudy Bay, added: "The bar will offer UK customers a slice of New Zealand and a perfect setting to showcase the Cloudy Bay portfolio with a delicious selection of food and wine parings to an audience of culture loving urbanites."
