D&D restaurant group to hold month long "Bordeauxlicous" promotion

Bordeauxlicious is a new month long promotional campaign being launched by the London restaurant group, D&D, alongside Bordeaux Wines, to help promote the region's wines across all its outlets in September and October.

The new initiative will run from September 12 to October 12 and give diners at D&D restaurants the chance to learn more about Bordeaux and its wines in a fun, approachable way giving them the chance to try wines across all price points from everyday styles right through to the Grand Crus level.

It is part of series of promotions and events being organised by D&D's new dedicated wine division, D&D Wine, which includes a dedicated online store, magazine, club and the chance to take part in special tastings and events.

Bordeauxlicious will include special food and wine matching menus, a Speed Dating night and a silent disco, with music compilations inspired by Bordeaux red, white and rose wines.

The initiative kicks off on September 12 at the Old Bengal Bar with a BBQ and the Silent Disco, Le Speed Dating will take place at Bluebird on September 25 and there will be a Sauvignon Blanc Challenge between September 25 and 27 at Le Pont de la Tour where guests will be able to blind taste Bordeaux styles against New World alternatives to see which is more popular.

A Bordeaux Marathon will take place at the Orrery on October 2 which will include a large tasting to showcase both large and small producers from a number of Bordeaux regions.

The initiative will come to a close on October 11 at Skylon with a special White Night where guests are invited to dress in all white and sample white Bordeaux wines.

There will also be a special Sommelier case of Bordeaux wines available to buy from www.dandwine.com throughout the month long promotion.
