Normandy cider Duché de Longueville, which claims to contain no added yeasts, sugars or preservatives, has been launched ahead of the Sainsbury's Vintage Cider Festival.

The naturally sparkling cider is comprised purely of pressed apples – with a minimum 90% of those of the Gros Oeillet variety, grown in orchards on a 650ha estate near Dieppe.

Described as having "a fine mousse", as well as "delicious flavour and thirst-quenching acidity", the cider is recommended served chilled or over ice, matched with cheese, pork dishes or fruity desserts.

The cider festival will see Duché de Longueville available in 350+ Sainsbury's outlets, with 20% off its rrp of £2.19 between June 12 and July 2, and again between July 24 and August 2.
