On September 21 the trade will have a chance to taste their way through the first UK showing of New Zealand's 2011 vintage white wines and 2010 red wines, together with newly released wines from past vintages.

New Zealand Winegrowers will be hosting the tasting in its Penthouse suite at New Zealand House where guests will be able to taste over 220 wines in an uninterrupted, self-pour environment.

NZW's European director David Cox said: "Our special combination of soil, climate and water, our innovative pioneering spirit and our commitment to quality all come together to deliver pure, intense and diverse experiences. In every glass of New Zealand Wine is a world of pure discovery."

To celebrate the Rugby World Cup, NWZ will also be holding The Great Rugby Taste Off at the tasting.

A mock rugby pitch at New Zealand House will see two teams of wines from New Zealand and France going head to head in two matches - New Zealand Red Blends versus Bordeaux and New Zealand Aromatics versus Alsace.
