Second wine store for Enoteca Da Luca

Published:  24 October, 2011

Italian wine and food shop Enoteca Da Luca, owned by restaurateur Robert Dora, is to open a second store in the City of London, and is on the look-out for additional sites across the capital.

Dora already operates a store at Devonshire Square near Liverpool Street, and the new store will also showcase its Venetian coffee concept Bacari. A 15-year lease was secured for Enoteca Da Luca at an annual rent of £68,000. Enoteca Da Luca was advised by leisure property firm Davis Coffer Lyons, and plans to start its fit out immediately.

The unit at Guildhall extends to around 1,380 sq ft at ground level, and is part of the Standard Life building at 95 Gresham Street comprising a 93,000 sq ft of high-end office accommodation on the upper floors, which have been recently developed behind a period façade. The remaining entrance foyer at ground floor level and the lower ground floor area on Basinghall Street has been taken by British steak and cocktail concept, Hawksmoor.

Enoteca Da Luca will be focused on top quality Italina food and wine, alongside Italian coffee, cichetti and pastries.

Dora has run several City restaurants and is planning on expanding the chain into the City and West End.

Robert Dora, Director of Enoteca Da Luca and Bacari brands commented: "I am excited about both ventures in this location which I hope will enhance the whole Italian food and drink lifestyle here in the City of London."
