Published:  26 October, 2011

Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor has been awarded a Michelin star for the 22nd year in a row.

It means the fine dining restaurant joins an elite group of only four UK restaurants to ever have been awarded one or more Michelin stars consecutively for more than two decades.

The restaurant that is named after its executive chef, serves French cuisine with a contemporary flavour.

Radley whi has been with the Chester Grosvenor since 1986, is a hands-on chef who is involved in the day to day running of both 'Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor' and the hotel's 'La Brasserie'.

He says: "Twenty-two years of being awarded Michelin stars is quite an achievement.

"Every single member of staff, from junior chef to part time waiter, in the 'Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor' restaurant should be extremely pleased.

"It might be my name above the door but every part of the team should rightly take a well-earned bow for winning this accolade year after year."

He handpicks suppliers, mentors young up and coming chefs and he is an integral part of the management team that run the grade II listed hotel.

His bespoke menus, ideas for seasonal food and creativity extend as far as the specialist Westminster Suite kitchen which serve the meetings and events held at the five star hotel.

Fine dining is complemented by the extensive wine cellar, with more than 1,000 bins, which is overseen by sommelier Garry Clark.
