Brintex and IWC team up to link unrepresented wineries to UK buyers

Published:  07 December, 2011

London International Wine Fair LIWF, organiser, Brintex, has teamed up with the International Wine Challenge IWC, to host the Discovery Tasting for wineries seeking UK representation.

Hosted at the LIWF in May 2012, The Discovery Tasting will give wineries an opportunity to place their wines in front of UK agents, independent retailers, sommeliers and supermarket buyers.

With the highest concentration of these key personnel under one roof than at any other time of the year, the LIWF offers the perfect platform for the Discovery Tasting.

The Discovery Tasting provides buyers with the opportunity to taste, at their leisure, without interruption, any style of wine from anywhere in the world that is looking for an importer and has entered the IWC.

Wines are grouped by country, enabling tasters to browse through any section in which they're looking to fill gaps on their shelves.

James Murray, LIWF and Distil event director, said: "The LIWF is all about discovery - it provides not only the ideal forum for wineries seeking representation in the UK, and therefore a perfect fit for the Discovery Tasting, but will also offer added value to the independent retailers, online retailers, agents, buyers and sommeliers visiting the show."

Chris Ashton, IWC event director, said: "It's great news for all entrants in the IWC Discovery tasting to be made available to the thousands of UK buyers that come to the LIWF.

The IWC is delighted to present hundreds wines from all over the world to the UK trade."
