Henri Giraud opens its first branded UK Champagne bar

Published:  24 August, 2012

Champagne Henri Giraud has launched its first branded Champagne bar in the UK.

The bar, which can accommodate up to 30 people, is set in the courtyard at the back of Amuse Bouche Champagne Bar in Parsons Green, and has four Henri Giraud Champagnes on offer by the glass or bottle. They are: Blanc de Blancs NV, Esprit Rosé NV, Hommage à François Hémart Grand Cru and Code Noir Grand Cru NV.

The canapés menu includes a selection of meat dishes such as bruschetta of smoked ham and fig with aged balsamic vinegar reduction; and mini beef skewers with teriyaki sauce; or vegetarian options such as mozzarella and quince skewers, and wild mushroom risotto balls.

Claude Giraud is the 12th generation of the Giraud-Hémart family to preside over the family business producing Henri Giraud Champagne. The Giraud-Hémart family owns 20ha of Grand Cru vineyards in Aÿ that includes 35 parcels, of which 26 are planted with Pinot Noir and nine with Chardonnay.

Amuse Bouche Champagne Bar was the winner of the Champagne Venue of the year 2012 Award at the Harpers Champagne Summit. It offers a selection of Champagnes from both independent growers and well-known Champagne houses.
