Cracking Wines competition winner

Published:  05 November, 2012

Karl Walton from Hennings Wine Merchants' Chichester branch is the lucky winner of a case of Absolutely Cracking French Wines.

Personally selected by the Harpers and IWC teams, from a line-up of more than 150 at the Absolutely Cracking French Wines tasting, organised by Sopexa, the case covers a multitude of regions, price points and styles, and is designed to be the perfect accompaniment to an absolutely cracking Christmas.

The selection was made from a 156-strong range chosen by top British writers.

Walton was picked at random after correctly identifying that AOC Champagne is the nearest French wine appellation, as the crow flies, to Rouen, Normandy, where French president François Hollande was born.

Harpers would like to thank Sopexa for offering this great prize.
