McWilliam's appoints Stevens Garnier in UK

Published:  27 June, 2013

Australian producer McWilliam's Wine has appointed Stevens Garnier as its new UK agent, to represent its premium range of brands including Evans & Tate from Margaret River, Brand's Laira from Coonawarra and Mount Pleasant from the Hunter Valley.

"The partnership is really rooted in the relationship that McWilliam's has had with Sogrape [owner of Stevens Garnier]. We have been with them for over 15 years," said Lloyd Stephens, McWilliam's export director.

"It is the best of the old and the new. Stevens Garnier has some new management, but also has a great reputation and track record in the UK - and now the backing of Sogrape," he added.

Sogrape, which acquired Stevens Garnier 18 months ago, has a long-standing relationship with McWilliam's, which distributes its Mateus Rosé brand across Australasia.

PLB will continue to represent the McWilliam's brand and the Weight Watchers-endorsed, lower-alcohol ranges Harmony and Essenze.
