Treasury Wine Estates has signed a further deal this week with Accolade Wines to provide packaging and production services for several brands based in California, including its Geyser Peak, Atlas Peak and XYZin brands.

The deal follows on the heels of the sale in March of this year of the Geyser Peak Winery by EPR Properties to Francis Ford Coppola Winery. Accolade was leasing the property from EPR Properties.

According to TWE, the packaging services it will provide will begin immediately, while the production services will start with the 2014 vintage.  TWE will allow Accolade Wines use of the excess capacity in its production facility at the Asti Winery in Hopland and provide packaging services through its Napa bottling centre.

The three brands produce over 300,000 cases in total for Accolade Wines, with Geyser Peak brand producing 280,000 cases alone.

The deal is the first in the US between Accolade Wines and Treasury Wine Estates, but the two companies have other agreements in the UK and Australia.

In July 2012 the two agreed to bottle each other's wines in their respective countries with TWE packing Accolade Wines in Australia and Accolade offering the same service for TWE in the UK from its Bristol bottling facility.
