On Thursday the March 20th, 2014 the Wines from Spain Trade Fair will be hosting its annual tasting at the Old Billingsgate in London, celebrating its 25th year of the event.

Maria Jose Sevilla, Director of Foods and Wines from Spain, said: "We have come a long way in 25 years helped by the popularity of Spanish gastronomy and the increased visibility of Spanish restaurants in the UK but there's still a long way to go.  Wine styles may have changed over the years, but Spain has demonstrated that it is the master of reinvention whilst continuing to deliver great quality and value."

The tasting will have over 80 spanish importers and exporters showcasing wines that demonstrate regional diversity of the country.

The fair will hold a tasting of around 50 white wines made from indigenous grape varieties as well as a separate tasting dedicated to showcasing the Tempranillo grape.

There will be masterclasses that will run throughout the day, including a presentation on e-commerce hosted by Petetr Burns, manager of online marketing at Waitrose and a Palo Cortado Sherry tasting by Beltran Domecq, president of CRDO Jerez-Xérès-Sherry y Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
