Memorial service for Michael Cox to be held on April 10 at Southwark Cathedral

The memorial service for Michael Cox, the former head of Wines of Chile in the UK and Europe, who died from cancer at the end of last month, is to be held on April 10 at Southwark Cathedral in London.

The service will take place at 3.30pm at the cathedral near London Bridge. The cathedral has asked people not to arrive before 3pm as there is another service taking place earlier that afternoon.

A reception where the trade will have the opportunity to raise a glass in memory of Cox and his many achievements within the sector will be held in a venue nearby to be announced.

The family has asked for no flowers to be sent but if people would like to contribute for any donations to be made to The Vintners Foundation or St Michael's Hospice Basingstoke c/o Richard Steel & Partners, Alderman House, 12-14 City Road, Winchester, S023 8SD or via www.rsponline.co.uk.

Finally, a number of people have asked about donations etc and so please can you add the following:  No flowers please.
