UK research and marketing consultancy Wine Intelligence has launched a joint venture with a Buenos Aires-based wine consultant which offers support and guidance for wineries in Argentina and Uruguay that are looking to enter international markets. Its activities also include marketing Wine Intelligence's market research report series and jointly conducting research for clients. Dolores Lavaque, director of the Argentinian consultants Consultora STG, commented: Argentina and Uruguay need to develop their countries' generic brands and build them stronger. We hope the joint work between Wine Intelligence and STG will help them to build their market development strategy.' Brian Howard, business development director at Wine Intelligence, said that the initiative for the partnership originated from the company's recent visit to Argentina, where it presented a number of seminars about the UK market. Wineries and wine associations in many countries are increasingly demanding focused research and consulting as our industry becomes more global,' explained Howard.
