Coe Vintners launches interactive digital wine brochure

Published:  11 August, 2014

Coe Vintners has launched its first digital wine and spirits brochure, allowing customers to interact with images, maps and information on wines as opposed to more traditional lists.

The Coe Vintners wine section allows visitors to navigate each country by selecting a flag, with a live link through to each producer's product information. The site also gives customers the opportunity to view the location of the wineries within each country on a large interactive map.

The navigation aims to make it simple for customers to find what they need, while cramming more information into the format than a traditional list would allow.

The brochure also includes founder Eric Coe's first-ever wine list from 1931 alongside a timeline of the history of Coe Vintners, underlining how far the company has come. It now employs two Masters of Wine and has an annual turnover of over £60 million.  The company lists over 2,500 products, approximately 14 times more than Eric Coe started out with.

Mike Beavan, sales director at Coe Vintners, said: "Today technology is fast replacing traditional methods of information exchange within our industry. It is important to stay ahead of the game hence our decision to create an innovative digital version of our brochure that encourages interactivity with customers. The digital brochure also pays tribute to our company's rich and diverse history, but presents it in a modern way that allows not only our customers to engage with us as a company but also with the producers that we believe in."

The brochure is available to download from the website and is also available in print.

Coe Vintners is based just outside central London in Redbridge, Essex, and mostly supplies the premium on-trade. Its wine department is run by Dirceu Vianna Junior MW while its fine wine division is headed by David Allen MW.
