OK it's nearly time to put down those pens, stop writing and hand your forms in to the teacher. Yes, tomorrow marks the closing date for entries to Harpers Global Design awards which hope to reward and highlight the best drinks labels and bottles on sale around the world.

This is the first year that the competition has been opened up to entries from anywhere in the world, providing they are in distribution. Products need to have been launched by May 20 to show at least three months of trading, but the awards are open to any drinks brand that is on sale, regardless of when they were introduced to the market.T

In each of the respective categories entries stand the chance of receiving either a Gold, Silver or Bronze award with potentially an overall Trophy award for the stand out product in each category if the judges choose to select one. There is no limit on the number of Gold, Silver or Bronze awards that can be handed out in each category.

The Harpers Global  Design Awards is also asking people to nominate brands that they have seen in any drinks market around the world. Harpers will then approach that brand or product to make them aware of the competition and how to enter.

There are a host of categories to choose from including new price-based categories for wine to reflect the budgets and demands on new products aimed at the volume and value end of the market.

The competition is open to any company involved in the creation, development and design of new brands and products for any of these channels.
