Ashley White wound up

DTI closes web dealer
Ashley White Ltd, one of the "claret web" companies, was wound up in the High Court in London on 24 January following a petition from the Department of Trade and Industry. The company bought only a fraction of the wine ordered and there was not sufficient finance to support the business, according to the Insolvency Service. Ashley White offered various 1996s including Lafite, Loville Las Cases and Mouton-Rothschild, as well as 1995 Troplong-Mondot. Aurora Menon was the senior dealer and Lynton Guest was the sole director. There was no company secretary.
