What do you think were the most significant things that happened/ issues/trends that occurred in 2014?

Duty escalator halted, and not before time!

What opportunities are you most looking forward to working on in 2015?

Reviewing my business plan to ensure we're still on the right path.

What are the biggest challenges facing the trade in 2015?

Margin squeeze as competition increases.

Who are the people/companies/retailers to watch in 2015?

Naked Wines' founder Rowan Gormley.  I have a lot of respect for him.  He's a savvy business guy.

Also Ayo Akintola from Oddbins, he's another smart chap. 

Thirdly, Borough Wines, they have a great business - respect!

What are you doing for Christmas and New Year?

Probably recovering in intensive care somewhere after the long hours of Christmas trade.  No doubt with the kids saying "c'mon dad, let's play with the toys!"

What will be your favourite tipple over Christmas and New Year?

On l'appelle Negrette 2010 AOC Fronton

Favourite Christmas film?

The Wizard of Oz.

Ideal day out over Christmas period?

Day trip to Worthing and paddle in the sea with my wife and kids.

What do you want most from Father Christmas?

A healthy and happy family and all the doughnuts I can eat.

New Year resolution?

Eat more doughnuts.
