LWF 2015 to host record-breaking 150 UK businesses and offer over 100 programme seminars

London Wine Fair 2015 is set to to host over 150 UK wine businesses and offer more than 100 presentations across the three day fair.

"We are really excited about this year's London Wine Fair," LWF's event director Ross Carter said. "The content is going to be really good, with an impressive line up of speakers."

The London Wine Fair will be hosting 110 sessions including masterclasses and seminars with most sessions being hosted by experts from across the UK trade and by exhibitors. It will be the most in the fair's 35-year history.

"We have a high calibre of presenters including leading MWs and industry experts. The industry briefings as well will be focusing on the recovering economy and provide some great insights into different channels like the on-trade, which should be incredibly valuable for attendees," said Carter.

Monday is set to have a slight slant more towards the on-trade, with a lunch and support in the form of the bursary set aside for sommeliers to travel to the fair. Equally Tuesday will offer a bit more of a focus for independent merchants with a bursary viable for qualifying merchants that apply.

There has been tremendous support from exhibitors for this year's fair from the UK wine trade, he said. "The UK's response has been truly unbelievable," said Carter.

He said in 2008 - the largest square footage fair the team has hosted - had 88 UK wine businesses exhibiting, comparatively this year there will over 150 UK wine businesses exhibiting.

London Wine Fair this year is also helping to support London Wine Week. All attendees that are in the trade that attend the fair will have access to a free wristband to make the most out of London Wine Week activities. Exhibitors will also be eligible for corkage deals from participating restaurants in the week long event
