Surrey police arrest four and seize alcohol after break-in at English wine producer Denbies

Four people have been arrested by Surrey police after reports of a break-in at Denbies Wines Estate in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police received reports at around 1am that a group of men were loading boxes into a van.

Officers met the vehicle as it was leaving.

The van stopped and the three occupants fled the vehicle. A dog unit was called to assist in the search and men were located and arrested nearby.

What police described as "a large quantity" of alcohol was discovered.

A 31-year-old from Wallington in south London, a 32-year-old from Oxted, Surrey, and a 29-year-old from Worcester Park, south London, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

A 37-year-old woman from Worcester Park has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the incident.
