Cotswolds Distillery invites whisky fans on maturation journey with new-make spirit pack

Published:  26 August, 2015

The Cotswolds Distillery has released a three-bottle pack of new make spirit.

The trio of 20cl packs comprise an unaged spirit, one lightly aged in sherry casks and another from wine casks.

They are all bottled at 63.5% abv and the Test Batch Series pack has an rrp of £54.95.

It will be sold in selected retailers in the Cotswolds, London and European markets.

The distillery came into production in September last year and will sell aged spirit as single malt whisky when the first batches have had their minimum three years of wood-ageing.

French whisky importer La Maison de Whisky is among the trade customers and will feature Cotswolds Single Malt as a work in progress exhibit at this year's Whisky Live show in Paris.

Daniel Szor, founder and chief executive officer of the Cotswolds Distillery, said: "We have received extremely positive feedback on the high quality of our new-make spirit, and the first barrels are ageing extremely well.

"They were pronounced extremely promising by Jim Swan, our consultant master distiller.

"We have decided to make this Test Batch Series available so that whisky fans can join us on our journey and see for themselves how our Cotswolds single malt is progressing."
