Buffalo Trace outlines on-trade support programme

Published:  14 September, 2015

UK supplier Hi-Spirits is embarking on major on-trade support programme for its Buffalo Trace bourbon.

Consumer masterclasses and food matching sessions will be held in 10 locations around the UK between now and Christmas and the brand's Buffalo Bourbon Empire pop-up bar is appearing during London Cocktail Week.

There are trade-only sessions with free advance sign-up in Brighton on September 21, during London Cocktail Week on October 6 and 8, in Bristol on October 14, Cardiff on October 21, Nottingham on October 26, Liverpool on November 3, Manchester on November 10, Sheffield on November 18, Newcastle on November 26, Glasgow on December 1 and Edinburgh on December 2.

Drew Mayville, master blender for Buffalo Trace owner Sazerac (pictured), will be hosting masterclasses for the brand's Antique Collection of bourbons at Boilermaker in Nottingham on October 7, Jake's Bar in Leeds on October 8, Cain & Grain in Manchester on October 9 and Copper Blossom in Edinburgh on October 10.

UK brand manager Tim Giles said: "Bourbon sales are growing strongly in the on-trade, and amongst younger and more affluent consumers in particular.

"We're taking the opportunity to build awareness of the flagship Buffalo Trace brand, as well as the full range including Eagle Rare and the Antique Collection."
