Brewer points way to Christmas success for the on-trade with series of roadshows

On-trade customers are being offered free staff training and the chance to sample new products at a series of pre-Christmas trade shows being hosted by Carlsberg UK.

The brewer and on-trade wholesaler aims to host 1,000 suppliers and customers at the four shows around the country in what will be the 30th anniversary of the roadshow.

The shows are in Coventry on September 29, London on October 1, Leeds on October 6 and Manchester on October 8.

Suppliers and brands in attendance will Britvic, Accolade Wines, Diageo, Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands, Funkin, Jägermeister and Thatchers.

There will be the chance to gain insight on hot industry topics such as the growing interest in sherry and effective display and upselling in gin and malt whisky.

Free staff training will cover cellar management and perfect serves and there will be the chance to win a trip to Copenhagen or £1,000 off a Christmas Carlsberg UK bill.

Beer writer Pete Brown will speak on opportunities in the on-trade market with a focus on craft beer.
