Nicolas Feuillatte wines Asda listing for Brut Rosé

Published:  16 November, 2015

Champagne house Nicolas Feuillatte has cemented its strong position in the UK off-trade with a listing for its Brut Rosé in Asda.

The Brut Rosé is drawn from some 100 Crus. Its blend includes 25% of older, reserve wines to ensure consistent quality and style.

Nicolas Feuillatte is the third best-selling Champagne in the UK off-trade, and the best-selling Champagne in France, where it sold 875,000 cases last year.

Nicolas Feuillatte sold 10.66 million bottles worldwide in 2014, an 8% uplift on the previous year.

Between 2007 and 2014, its shipments grew by 19% - some 1.6 million bottles.

Over the same period the global Champagne market contracted by around 10 million bottles.

Founded in 1976, Nicolas Feuillatte comprises over 5,000 grape growers.

The company appointed Julie Campos as its new managing director earlier this year.

Campos told Harpers that a commitment to quality was key to the company's success.

"No one wants to feel like they are paying a lot of money for a bottle of wine, whether it be an expensive California Cabernet or a bottle of Champagne unless they are convinced they are getting value for money," she said.

The Brut Rosé is available now at Asda stores at an RRP of £30.
