New partnerships to be unveiled at Ehrmanns 2016 tastings

Published:  04 February, 2016

Old-established wine supplier Ehrmanns will be showcasing its latest partnerships at its annual portfolio tastings in London and Manchester next week.

New wineries to be exhibited include the highly regarded family-owned Willow Bridge Estate from Western Australia and Frascati's L'Olivella.

Also available for tasting will Ehrmanns' first French wine offers.

Richard Dennis, wine buyer at Ehrmanns, said: "We're dipping our toe into the vast sea that is French wines and expanding our offering with some expressive regional wines from Foncalieu and a distinctive range from Maison Ventenac in Cabardès.

"We want to bring exciting, fairly-priced wines to the table in such an established and crowded market."

The events will feature an independent wine shop zone, designed to emphasise the importance of the independent and regional on-trade to Ehrmanns.

Mark Chapman, chief executive of Ehrmanns, said: "We see Ehrmanns' annual tastings as a key opportunity to engage with our current customer base and introduce the new wines and vintages in our diverse portfolio to the trade.

"We supply all channels and will be launching a number of new agencies so there will be plenty to interest those who are familiar and those who are new to our range."

Ehrmann's London tasting will take place on Tuesday, February 9 between 9.30am and 6.00pm at The Music Room, 26 South Molton Lane, Mayfair, London W1K 5LF.

The Manchester tasting will follow two days later on Thursday, February 11 between 10.00am and 5.00pm at The Brindley Room, 18-20 Castle Street, Castlefield, Manchester M3 4LZ.

Founded in 1875, Ehrmanns currently has partnerships with over 30 family-owned wineries across 15 countries worldwide.
