McGuigan sponsors London food fair

McGuigan Wines is sponsoring its second London food event of the month on September 10-11 with an airstream bar at On Blackheath.

McGuigan Wines is sponsoring its second London food event of the month this weekend (September 10-11) with an airstream bar at On Blackheath.

Last weekend the Australian brand took the same tactic at Meatopia, both festivals acting as platforms for the launch of its Black Label Malbec.

The company promised its first attempt at 'experiential activity' would take visitors on an exciting wine and food journey, championing the Malbec - better known as an Argentinian speciality - by demonstrating "how well its bold, rich notes can stand up to the variety of carnivorous dishes being served up around the festivals".

The McGuigan bar will also be serving up a selection of premium and limited-edition wines from its portfolio, including the award-winning Shortlist range, the Hand Made Shiraz and the super-premium Philosophy, currently not sold anywhere else in the UK. As well as these, McGuigan will be showcasing one of its most recent launches, the MT Pinot Noir Rosé - the second collaboration in the series between chief winemaker Neil McGuigan and TV presenter and chef John Torode

The headline sponsorships mark the start of a pipeline of activity being rolled out as part of the brand's new 'Bring a McGuigan campaign September. The campaign will feature through the line PR and digital activity running in parallel to a TV ad that will hit air on Channel 4 and all Sky channels from September 12.
