Campari launches limited edition art label

Published:  04 October, 2016

Campari has unveiled the latest version of its annual Art Labels.

Originally launched in 2010 to celebrate Campari's 150th anniversary, this year's Art Label project has created three new limited edition labels to celebrate the Negroni cocktail.

This year's theme, There is no Negroni without Campari, celebrates Campari's history as an essential ingredient of the original recipe - an mix of Campari, gin, and sweet red vermouth created in Florence in 1919 by Count Camillo Negroni.

The three new Art Labels emphasise two elements of the Campari brand - the bottle and the glass - tapping into the rise in popularity of bitter flavours and the Negroni cocktail.

Campari is also celebrating the "passion and creativity" of the world's bartenders, with the launch of 2016's Contemporary Classics Compendium - a collection of recipes put together by bartenders from over 41 countries and curated on the Campari Facebook page.

They are also preparing for Negroni Week - an annual week long charity initiative sponsored by Campari.

This year, 6,000 bars and restaurants across the world donated a portion of sales from both classic and twists of the Negroni cocktail to their charity of choice.

The limited edition 2016 Art Label 70cl bottles will be available to purchase from Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Tesco.
