Bancroft Wines has added two new producers to their portfolio, Cantina della Volta from Emilia Romagna and Es Fangar from Mallorca.

Bancroft Wines has added two new producers to their portfolio, Cantina della Volta from Emilia Romagna and Es Fangar from Mallorca.

Both agencies are family-owned and place emphasis on artisanal wines from "off-the beaten track" areas of the world.

The additions mark an expansion of Bancroft's range of Italian Lambrusco and Spanish wines in the premium sector.

"The wines from Lambrusco producer Cantina della Volta represent classy, game-changing sparkling wines from this region, whilst the Es Fangar wines from Mallorca showcase a fantastic array of indigenous varieties coupled with substantial influence from their unique volcanic and lime-rock influenced soils.

"These wines are artisan shining stars from two under-represented regions," Sophie McLean, head of marketing, said.

Both Cantina della Volta and Es Fangar will be visiting the UK to take part in the Bancroft Wines Annual Portfolio Tasting on Wednesday, February 15, at Glaziers Hall, London Bridge.

From Cantina della Volta, Bancroft will list a vintage red and a vintage rosé, both produced under the eye of winemaker and owner is Christian Bellei.

Lambrusco di Modena Spumante D.O.C. Classic Method 2009 is made from 100% hand-harvested Sorbara grapes, the wine is rested on its lees for six months and then aged in bottle for at least 24 months.

Lambrusco Di Modena Spumante D.O.C. Classic Method Rosé 2011, is pale pink Lambrusco aged for six months before bottling.
