Urban Bar gives classic wine measurer ‘much needed’ redesign
Barware design company Urban Bar has given the classic wine measure a ‘much-needed’ makeover.
Taking inspiration from the company’s Aero Jigger Measurers range, the new Aero Wine Measures line features a narrowed waist and a high polished finish in a bid to create a “unique and aesthetically" pleasing addition to bar tops anywhere.
The revamp of the “overlooked bar essential” had been designed to move away from the "unimaginative and simple” tubular shape associated with traditional wine measures, said Urban Bar.
The curved shape provided an ergonomic hold for waiting staff, and allowed for an ease of pouring associated with similar shaped jigger measures used in cocktail mixology, it said.
All Aero Wine Measures are CE marked to the brim for the food service industry, with a choice of the standard three wine glass volumes; 125ml, 175ml and 250ml.
As with all Urban Bar barware, the Aero Wine Measures are made with the company’s signature Japanese steel to give a “lightweight and robust” structure with high corrosion resistance, outlasting the life expectancy of standard barware.
