i heart Prosecco heads onto social media for latest collab

Copestick Murray’s successful i heart brand is looking to the internet for the next step in propelling its Prosecco range to sparkling superstardom.

The Prosecco category has witnessed eye-watering growth over the past couple of years, with sales forecast to hit 100m bottles in the UK by 2020.

Copestick Murray is now aiming to grab a greater slice of that pie with a new social media-led collaboration as a way to find “fresh ways to engage with its audience whilst responding to consumer trends”.

The i heart brand is partnering with Instagram regulars, Meringue Girls, to add Prosecco-infused meringue recipes to the range.

The partnership comes on the back of strong reported Prosecco sales.

According to the company, i heart Wines’ Prosecco is now the third biggest Prosecco brand in the UK, with YOY growth currently at 54% (Nielsen MAT data to 25.03.17).

Lucy Auld, marketing manager at Copestick Murry, said: “i heart Prosecco is one of the UK’s favourite fizz brands and so it felt like a natural opportunity for us to leverage current trends to create something delicious that consumers could make at home to wow friends and family.”
