Published:  24 July, 2017

Maison Louis Jadot has acquired Burgundian estate Domaine Prieur-Brunet in Santenay for an undisclosed sum.

Domaine Prieur-Brunet, which was founded at the beginning of the 19th century by Claude and Jean Prieur and is today run by Dominique Prieur and her son Guillaume - representing the 8th generation of the family, includes 18 hectares of vineyards in the Côte de Beaune, predominantly in Santenay but also covering Chassagne-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, Pommard and Beaune.

Domaine Prieur-Brunet’s “illustrious parcels” from Santenay 1er Cru Maladière or Clos Faubard would compliment Maison Louis Jadot’s growing portfolio in Santenay, which includes Clos de Malte and Clos de Gatsulards, said Pierre-Henry Gagey, president at Louis Jadot, adding the team at Maison Louis Jadot was committed to ensuring the continuity of the work undertaken by the Prieur family over the last two centuries.

Further information regarding to acquisition would follow in the autumn, said Gagey.
