Spirit of Zing receives revamp following investment in new facilities

Published:  10 August, 2017

Speciality drinks brand World of Zing has given its Spirit of Zing cocktails portfolio an overhaul following investment in new facilities.

The revamped range, which was first launched in 2014, features tweaks to the five original recipes and updated packaging, including a new logo and ‘Flavour Beyond Ordinary’ strapline. It is handcrafted in the company’s new dedicated ‘cocktail development centre’ in London – complete with cocktail ageing and molecular mixology facilities, and is available now from speciality distributor Cotswold Fayre.

Comprising Blackberry & Tamarind Spiced Rum Spritz, Bordeaux Aged Negroni, Steel Aged Manhattan, Persian Lime & Nori Margarita, Bitter Orange and Strawberry & Ginger Spritz, the tweaked recipes would take the drinks to the “next flavour level” by adopting the “unique production process and innovative ingredients” only seen at the UK’s leading bars, said company founder, Pritesh Mody.

The relaunch, he said, marked the company’s ambitions for the speciality and premium sector.

“Up until now, we have been largely experimenting and fine tuning, as well as being limited by a lack of serious production capacity - having moved into a proper cocktail development facility and created a strong focussed brand identity based on our journey so far, we are now ready to grow the retail side of our business.”

The latest developments followed a “strong start to the year” for the company, said Mody, adding it now had drinks collaborations in place with major companies, such as Diageo Reserve.
