London’s first Prosecco bar poised for Tower Bridge opening

Published:  08 November, 2017

London’s first dedicated Prosecco bar is set to open its doors in February 2018.

Prosecco house, which will be situated at One Tower Bridge, will stock Prosecco DOCG - the premium fizz from Veneto, the home of the popular Italian bubbles.

Launched to bring the “excellent quality” of Prosecco enjoyed in its homeland to England, the menu of the new outlet – claimed to be the first dedicated Prosecco bar in the capital, will feature more than 20 different Proseccos sourced from five vineyards not currently present in London, said founded, Kristina Issa.

Handpicked by Issa, the wineries that will be served comprise: Marchiori, Rivalta, Cirotto, TASI Bio and Andreola, with guests able to enjoy glasses of Prosecco starting at £7.50 and bottles starting from £30.

Bottles will be available as standard, magnums and go up to jeroboams.

In addition, a small selection of Prosecco cocktails will be served, including Aperol Spritz, Bellini and a selection of Prosecco House signature cocktails.

The bar would plug a gap in the UK market for a “high quality” outlet serving the finest Prosecco that was not a hotel or cocktail bar, said Issa.

“I am working closely with producers to ensure guests receive the finest Prosecco that is so readily available in Veneto.”

Prosecco House will sit within Berkeley Homes' One Tower Bridge, a development of high-specification apartments, five-star residents’ facilities, restaurants and commercial space, including The Bridge Theatre.
