Maison Marques et Domaines Ltd: Business Development Manager, London

Maison Marques et Domaines Ltd is looking for a Business Development Executive to grow the distribution of its premium portfolio in the London on-trade.

Maisons Marques et Domaines UK Ltd is the wholly owned subsidiary of Champagne Louis Roederer, responsible for the sales and marketing, to all sectors of the UK market, of the group’s family of brands and a wider portfolio of well-known and established premium wine agencies from the Old and New Worlds.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with key London wholesaler sales teams to identify and develop new business opportunities in indirect supplied accounts across all appropriate on-trade channels, support existing listings, deliver staff training and oversee the implementation of agreed promotional activity.

Identify, research and recommend new business opportunities on a direct supply basis.

Work with the MMD UK London sales team to support the portfolio presence and sales in the direct supplied prestige London-on-trade through staff training and oversight of agreed promotional activity.

Work with the MMD UK marketing team to deliver, support and evaluate customer and sector-specific initiatives in line with brand and agency strategies.

Monitor and regularly report on the market and key competitor activities.

Candidate Profile:

Ideally degree educated, with a minimum of 2 years’ commercial experience in the alcoholic drinks industry, preferably in the London on-trade or wholesale sectors.

Extremely passionate and enthusiastic about the drinks industry as well as being articulate, well presented and able to act as a suitable ambassador for the premium portfolio of brands which the company represents.

The role requires a London-based energetic, results-driven self-starter, who is a natural networker, comfortable with a full and flexi-time working arrangement and who is keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability in a prestige environment.
