Cool cocktails, a hot 500-strong wine list, plus a selection of vintage spirits are defining features of the latest addition to Brighton’s burgeoning quality drinking scene at latest opening L’Atelier du Vin.

Tucked away in the hip North Laine quarter, with locally sourced grub to accompany myriad liquid delights (the most extensive wine list in Brighton), this atmospheric bootleg-styled bar is the work of co-owners Steve Pineau and Dimitri Mesnard, who learned their drinks craft during their time at the wine-focused Hotel du Vin.

With an evolving selection of wines by-the-glass and via Coravin, plus cocktails using those aforementioned vintage spirits, this is a welcome and laid-back oasis in the heart of town.
