ABS grows Burgundy portfolio with Domaine Bertagna partnership

Published:  19 July, 2018

Classic Burgundian estate Domaine Bertagna has teamed up with Awin Barratt Siegel Wine Agencies (ABS) to distribute their on-allocation wines.

The Domaine, based in Vougeot, has been owned by the Reh family since 1982 and boasts five Grands Cru and seven Premier Cru vineyards.

ABS will now distribute the wines exclusively in the UK.

Vineyards stretch from Aloxe Corton in the south to Gevrey-Chambertin in the North of Burgundy and focus on traditional varietals from the region.

Charles Hawkins, key account manager at ABS said: “The wines from Vougeot lie at the heart and soul of the Domaine and are therefore the perfect complement to our existing Burgundy portfolio.”

Both Domaine Bertagna and the Reh family have a long history in the region.

Originally from Germany’s Mosel Valley, Eva Reh’s grandfather bought the family’s first vineyard in Burgundy, in Chambolle-Musigny in 1954.

Her father purchased Domaine Bertagna from Claude Bertagna, before Eva took the reigns in 1988.

Domaine Bertagna wines are ex-cellar only and will be on allocation.
