Brown-Forman appoints Mangrove as UK distributor for its Scotch Whisky portfolio
Brown-Forman has appointed Mangrove Global as the exclusive UK distributor for its premium Scotch Whisky portfolio.
The deal sees Mangrove take on distribution of Brown-Forman’s Scotch Whisky trio - BenRiach, The GlenDronach and Glenglassaugh, with immediate effect.
To support the partnership, Brown-Forman said it has appointed Danny Whelan, who comes across from its Jack Daniels team, as Scotch Whisky business development manager for on-trade UK.
Whelan would play a key part in further developing relationships with the UK bar community on behalf of the company’s Scotch portfolio,” said Jeremy Shepherd, Brown-Forman VP general manager UK.
The deal builds on Mangrove’s partnership through other Brown-Forman brands, including el Jimador and Herradura tequilas, Early Times and Old Forester Bourbons.

Brown-Forman bought the three distilleries in 2016 as the Scotch Whisky category soared with overseas sales reaching £4.36 billion last year (SWA HMRC Export Figures 2017).
