Accolade beats BMW and McLaren to manufacturing award

Published:  19 November, 2018

Accolade Wines, Britain’s largest wine supplier by volume, has scooped a top award for its Bristol-based bottling facility.

The supplier represented the wine industry at the recent MX Manufacturer Awards, where it sat alongside heavyweights in other industries.

When it came to winning the top prize, Accolade left manufacturers like Jaguar Land Rover, BMW and McLaren Automotive behind, winning the award for its UK HQ, Accolade Park, currently the largest wine facility of its kind in Europe.

Ade McKeon, regional managing director for UK and Ireland, said the nod “showcases the strength and operational excellence at Accolade Park and really reinforces our reputation as a market leader in new world wines”.

Accolade Park is a major contributor to UK jobs, with 500 people employed over its 80,000 square-metre site.

The facility opened its doors in 2009 and now produces 25 million 9L cases of wine every year.

Accolade’s roots go back to 1853 in Australia and has since broadened its portfolio to wines from across the New World.

It also won awards for customer service and sustainability at the MX awards.
