Published:  30 January, 2019

Several new wines will be on offer at the Kosher Food and Wine Experience London (KFWE) this year, including one named after the stones David used to slay Goliath.

Five Stones Vineyard, set in the Elah Valley where the biblical giant killing took place, is named after the 'five smooth stones' David used in his sling. And Vitkin, described by KFWE as “experts in the creation of original Israeli wines and pioneers in the Mediterranean approach” will also appear at the show for the first time.

The Unorthodox Winery, a restored 300 year old vineyard on the south eastern slopes of the Paarl Mountain in South Africa, will also make its first appearance at the show.

KFWE, which is Europe’s largest kosher wine tasting event, said as well as a “multitude of exceptional wines to discover” a whisky master class will also be on offer, featuring ambassadors from Tomintoul and Glencadam.

Tomintoul will be offering its 2000 vintage single cask whisky for tasting for the first time in the world. Meanwhile Glencadam will be sharing its 1999 vintage single cask, and a Glencadam 25 year old, of which only 1600 bottles have been released.

Sparkling wine will also be a major focus for the event this year, with a several sparkling wines, champagne and prosecco available for tasting.

The event will take place on 6 February at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane between 6.30pm and 10pm.
