HARRINGTON ROSS DISSOLVED

Harrington Ross, one of the earliest claret investment companies, has been dissolved. It was founded in May 1998 and Peter Fretwell was sole director. In January 1999 Harrington Ross was offering 1996 Mouton-Rothschild at 2,900 a case, when the market price was around 1,000. Pembridge Villiers, also run by Fretwell, was gazetted in February 2001. This was suspended on 19 June, but as no returns or accounts have yet been filed there may be a further gazette issued. Fretwell later set up The Burbridge King Group, although he claims it is no longer trading. However, an investor who agreed in April 2001 to buy 18 bottles of 1996 Troplong Mondot for 5,400 from Burbridge King was issued with a revised invoice through the Forrester & Beck's Group (not a registered company), acting as "an execution only broker".
