Oregon & Washington tasting reveals new exhibitors and 'NY guests'

Published:  22 February, 2019

Oregon Wine Board and Washington State Wine has revealed a quartet of new wineries poised to exhibit at its London tasting next month, alongside a ‘guest table’ from New York.

The newcomers comprise two Washington producers - Matthews Winery and Doubleback Wines, alongside Oregon duo - River’s Edge and Three Feathers, with none of the four having exhibited in London before.

The ‘guest table’ from New York marks the first time the state has joined Oregon and Washington for any generic activity in the UK.

New York wineries taking part will include Boundary Breaks, Brotherhood, Fox Run, Chateau Lafayette Reneau, Hosmer, Red Newt Cellars, Anthony Road, Keuka Lake, Lamoreau Landing and Thirsty Owl.

“We are really excited about that and are looking forward to working with our winemaking friends on the east coast.”

In all there will be more than 35 wineries represented pouring over 250 wines.

Oregon has been receiving critical acclaim for some time for their Pinot noirs but this tasting is an opportunity to discover more about Oregon Chardonnay, Riesling and even sparkling wines, said the organisers.

From Washington, there will be a broad collection of  Syrahs, Bordeaux blends and crisp whites from Chenin, Semillon and Viognier, representing the diversity of wine styles from that region.
