A container full of Australian wine has been hijacked from outside Whittalls Wines bond in Walsall, in the Midlands. The 20ft container, which was awaiting unloading, was destined for the Independent Wine Buyers Consortium. The wines, from Water Wheel Vineyards, Bridgewater-on-Loddon, Victoria, were: 2000 Bendigo Chardonnay, 1999 Shiraz, and 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon. The bottles have the imprint: "The Vintners Consortium WR9 0EW". Anyone who is offered these wines should contact Walsall police on 01922 439000, quoting ref: 20HI/934301).
